Dementia is a term for a subset of disorders that can cause memory loss in sufferers. One of the most common subsets of dementia is Alzheimer’s, which is a progressive physical degradation of the brain. Dementia is a progressive neurological disorder with progressive onset of memory loss, disorientation, personality changes, and loss of motor skills with no cure available for Dementia, rather the medical treatment focuses on palliative care.
An Interactive Patient Communication System (IPCS), targeted specifically for patients with impairment (eg Dementia). This solution will include three (fully integrated) products: an application for the patient, an application for the Caregiver (nurse/guardian) and a management studio for the caregiving organization (facility or independent user). The applications will be usable on any iOS/Android tablet while the management studio will be a cloud-based software accessible via the internet. This product will be used by both the caregiver and the patient allowing for 24/7 remote patient management/monitoring. This product will allow the caregivers to remotely manage their patient’s wellbeing and daily routines using real-time monitoring, automated communication processes as well as track the patient’s progressive condition through the product’s structured datasets and KPIs.
